Turkmenistan introduces e-visa
Starting November 1, 2026, the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan is introducing an official electronic visa (e-Visa) system. Detailed regulations and requirements are published on the official portal: https://evisa.migration.gov.tm/web/visa-requirements.

Transition Period Rules
The previous procedure (issuance of a Letter of Invitation / LOI through us and obtaining a visa sticker at an embassy or upon arrival) remains valid exclusively for clients for whom invitation processing was initiated before this date.
For all new applications submitted starting November 1, the new electronic system will apply.
At the initial stage, processing and support for all e-Visa application forms will be carried out by Discover Central Asia Tours. However, the new algorithm requires direct participation from the clients themselves to undergo biometric verification.
Application procedure & document submission
1. Initial document package required from you
To begin processing, please send us:
The completed client personal data table (according to the updated template).
A high-quality color scan of the passport.
A digital photograph of the client strictly matching the established standards.
CRITICALLY IMPORTANT: Each client’s email address in the table must be specified with absolute accuracy. The system sends the individual verification link, application status notifications, and the issued electronic visa directly to this email address.
2. Passport scan requirements
Only high-quality scans are accepted (phone photos are prohibited).
The scan must display a full two-page spread: the page containing the photograph and the page located directly above it.
The document must be scanned flat and aligned, without cropped edges or obstructions anywhere along the border.
3. Photo Requirements
Recency: a current photo taken within the last 6 months.
Background: plain solid white, free of shadows, patterns, textures, or foreign objects.
Head Position: strictly full-face (front view), looking directly at the camera at eye level. The face must occupy 70–80% of the frame height. Expression must be neutral, with lips closed and eyes open.
Accessories: headwear is not permitted (except for proven religious or medical reasons); glasses with tinted lenses or thick frames covering the eyes are prohibited.
Quality & Editing: high resolution (at least 600 DPI), free of damage, pixelation, blur, glare, "red-eye" effect, as well as any form of digital manipulation or retouching.
4. Application & Verification process
Based on the data received from you, we will create and fills out the client's personal file in the e-Visa system.
Client Verification: The system generates a unique link and automatically sends it to the client's email.
The client accesses the link, captures a photo of their face and their passport spread via the web interface, and confirms submission.
Fee Payment: the client does not need to pay anything directly. Discover Central Asia Tours takes care of processing the visa payment. Subsequently, the visa fee (80 USD) will be included in your main invoice.
Note: The visa fee (80 USD) is uniform for citizens of all countries and does not depend on the duration of stay.
5. Processing Times & Entry procedure
Processing time: 7 working days from the moment the client completes verification and payment is executed by Discover Central Asia Tours.
Visa receipt: immediately upon approval, the ready e-Visa is delivered to the client's email.
Border crossing: upon arrival, the tourist presents the visa on a mobile device (smartphone or tablet). Printing the visa on paper is not required — all necessary information is encrypted within the QR code. Based on the e-Visa, an entry stamp is placed in the passport by a migration officer.
